The B Family, Roseville Family Photographer
If I could fast-forward to what my family would be like…here it is. I love the family and their connection as not only a family, but friends too.
Here’s some information on Family Portraits…
How I approach sessions – Family portraits are often the best when we don’t try and make everyone look perfect! I look for moments that fun and are genuine. Everyone sitting together, laying around laughing or having a tickle fight… Mother and child staring at each other and making each other laugh… I typically always get photos with everyone looking at the camera but I will also do my best to capture some timeless, candid moments of your family.
Where sessions are located – I am available for photography sessions in your home, on location or in my Roseville studio. My preference is to use natural light for photos so if your home is small or dark please consider the studio as it has beautiful natural light and lots of space. I am also a big fan of on location sessions and have lists of places we can go. Your portrait session will last around one hours to allow for an optional clothing change or a snack breaks for children. There is no rush and I fully encourage you to have fun and be yourself while I capture your family.
The dreaded…what to wear – I am definitely a blue jeans and white t-shirts kinda girl, but I encourage my clients to wear a variety of clothing with color and accessories. I do provide some ideas for clothing inspiration if you so shall choose, just ask. And don’t think this means a trip to the mall (unless it’s a good excuse for you too). I always tell my clients to start with yourself, find a color in your closet that you love and build your outfit around it. Textured fabrics like woolly sweaters and jackets work well. Avoid logos or clothing with distracting patterns. Have fun with it!
If you have any questions or would like to chat, please contact me and I would love to talk with you.

What a fun session! Love the background and color. They really nailed looking coordinated without over matching. Especially love the candids! 🙂
These are great! I love your approach to family sessions! I agree that it’s important to get those shots where everyone’s looking at the camera- but the candid moments that capture personalities are SO important!
Beautiful images and what a gorgeous family! Great job!

I saw this quote the other day and it perfectly sums up the reasons people should do a Family portraits! ‘Sometimes you will never know the value of something, until it becomes a memory.’ – Dr. Deuss
