R+A = Engaged! Sacramento Wedding Photographer, Donna Beck Photography, candy store, sushi, Willis Restaurant

Well where do I start?  If you have been following my work you know that I love to get creative and adventurous during an engagement session.  Today was no exception.  It was a bit over-the-top and I loved every minute with these two.

We started the day in Healdsburg at the popular Willis Restaurant, a sushi bar that Randy and Ashlee enjoy.  And I can see why.  The staff is amazingly attentive and the food is yummy as can be.  And it’s right in the heart of downtown Healdsburg, which is a cute and quaint place with some to-die-for shops too.  So as you can see while at Willis we got to sit bar side and enjoy some sushi and wine which has fun all over it in my book.

Then we headed to a park around the corner.  Randy is a DJ and so it only made sense that he busted out with some music t listen to as Ashlee grabbed her favorite book, Harry Potter, and began to read while I just camped out remotely away and let them be themselves and I got to snap away like a mini paparazzi.  I loved watching them interact with each other…they are very playful and totally in tune with each other.

We finished off the session with a walk around the downtown area and stumbled across a candy store and just couldn’t resist.  Of course after I found the ring pops Randy went right into action and reenacted his proposal!  It was great.  And what’s a candy store without a love tester?   We couldn’t stop laughing when they got “Nutty” and “Gooey”…yep, sounds about right!
