I met Jacob and Marisa last year when we shot their engagement session up in Lake Tahoe.  You can check it out here.   This engagement session was one of the funnest sessions I had last year and I couldn’t wait for their wedding at the gorgeous Alpine Stanford Chalet in Lake Tahoe.  Finally, the day was here.

And how funny that this location is also the place these two met, you got it, Stanford University.

We started at a close friends home where Marisa was getting ready.  It was an awesome cabin, high ceilings and all.  It made for some fun picture opportunities from the loft upstairs.  I had the honor of meeting the very talented Corey from The Decorated Bride, who did an awesome job with the bride and bridesmaids make-up.  And before you knew it, we were off to the ceremony and reception site at Alpine Stanford Chalet.

It was a stunning view to have beautiful blue skies overlooking Lake Tahoe as their backdrop for the ceremony.   And totally touching for them each to write their own vows.  It was very touching. 

Did you see their wedding cake?  Total chicago Cubs fan alert!  You got to check this one out…it’s a total man cake.  And I have to admit, it was pretty darn cool.
