Well Blogging world, here’s a first for me. I am here. Yep, I finally did it. It’s taken me a few years to get myself in gear and start a blog.

I mean really, this isn’t that hard when you think of all the “firsts” you have encountered. I remember my first day of high school. Oh my gosh, I was terrified. And when I look back at what I wore to school that day, I should have been. And then there was my first love. Oh boy, that’s even funnier to think back and that I thought he was “the one”…NOT! And my first time giving birth to my wonderful daughter, I was scared to death!

But then you realize with any “first” it gets easier. You know what to expect. So now with this blog thing I can say, been there, done that.

So here I am! Let me tell you a little about me. My name is Donna. When I was little my nickname was “Stretch” since I played first base on our softball team and had a lot of teammates that didn’t throw very well. And who did at the age of 12? I am from a small town named Kelseyville. So small that we had a bumper sticker that read “Where the hell is Kelseyville”…yep, that small. I went to college at Chico State and yes it was all its rep implies; I was on academic probation for my first semester…enjoying the ability to do what I want, when I wanted. But then got my act together and graduated with a BS in Marketing. I went on to have a great career, met the love of my life and had two beautiful daughters. Life was good, or so I thought. A few years ago that I found something was missing, and it was me. I was so caught up in my job that I had lost touch with the most important things in my life…my husband and my kids. So I quit my job and in the process found photography. I love it. I love life. I love my family. And I have found me again.
